Michael Preston President
Mike Preston has been in the real estate business for nearly 45 years, and in Tampa real estate for 40. He received a BS from the University of Notre Dame in 1968 and an MS from Georgia Tech in 1970. After working as an engineer for the Lockheed Georgia Company for several years, he took a position as a commercial leasing agent in Atlanta and never looked back. When Marie, a Tampa native, convinced him to make the move to Florida in 1976 he worked for James Burt, Inc as a commercial agent. In 1980 he and Roy Farley struck out on their own to form Preston & Farley, Inc., a full service real estate company. After buying out Mr. Farley early on, Mike has continued to act as president and broker of record for the company. He holds the CCIM designation from the Realtors National Marketing Institute and has served as the President of the Tampa Board of Realtors (now Greater Tampa Association of Realtors), District Vice President of the Florida Association of Realtors, and President of the Tampa Bay Commercial Brokers Association.
